January Meeting

It looks like we're back on track now that the holidays are over. We had two people complete the book this time, so we're already off to a good start! I totally spaced taking pictures until the tail end of the meeting, so all we've got is the one with kids' books and wine. Good times. :)

The next meeting will be held at Christine's house on February 3rd. We're trying to do seasonal themes, so it's a love story. Of course, I get a vote so the book we picked is also fantasy/adventure. We're reading Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones.

Just some pictures from our night...

Where is everybody?!?!

November Meeting!!!

We had a fairly uneventful meeting as far as book discussion goes. As far as who showed up, only one of us had finished the book. It was still a ton of fun.
I ended up locking my keys in my car, so we started off the night with a bit of fun(That didn't get resolved 'til WAY later.). We had a partial discussion about the book. We enjoyed how the author kept us guessing about the end, and as far I can tell we enjoyed the protagonist, oddity that she was.
Our wine glasses turned out brilliantly.

I will admit, I ended up a bit drunk and I know that our socializations were much more(possibly less) dramatic than I am leading on.

Anyways, as a group we decided we should be meeting twice a month instead of just the once. We have picked out the next book; The Stranger by Albert Camus. It's a short read and I suspect we can complete it by the next monthly meeting(Which would be December 2nd). Again, we are holding two meetings a month now, so we can hopefully finish up Dark Places by the 18th. The next meeting will be held at my apartment. We were kicking around a "Paint Your Feelings" night idea, but that isn't set in stone. All you would really need to bring is canvas. I have paint and brushes.

     Pictures will come soon!

It's November!

The next meeting is approaching quickly. Depending on how many people have finished the book, we may be in need of new suggestions. Start thinking about what you want to read now! Also, don't forget your wine glasses!

October Stuff!

We had out first meeting October 3rd. We decided to read Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. The plan is to complete at least  the first half of the book before the next meeting.

The library has several copies available to lend.

The next meeting will be held in Post Falls at Alora's house. We will be decorating wine glasses, so bring a stemless glass with you if you wish to participate in our artsy things.
